The Torrington Town Traders are a group of local business-owners that have come together with the aim of improving the experience of shopping in Great Torrington. We have the support of Torrington Town Council and Torridge District Council and intend to build on this support to encourage more visitors to our fine town.

Torrington is an exceptional town in that virtually all the shops are independently owned, so virtually no national names. There's such a variety of shops that you can still purchase virtually all you'd need and more without leaving our town. The town is also surrounded by The Commons, where you can stroll for hours and take in the wonderful surrounding scenery.

We'd like to encourage you to visit our fine town, so as well as giving you a small taster on our website, we're also committed to encourage visitors with other initiatives...

Our initiatives include... a Shopper Loyalty Scheme together with a scheme where member business' may choose to Refund a proportion of visitors Car Parking costs in return for a minimum spend, which will be chosen by each separate member.
